GOU Eyewear Journey in Eyewear Design and Manufacturing
In 2005, the predecessor of GOU Eyewear was established in Henggang Town, Shenzhen, specializing in the custom production of horn-rimmed and high-end wooden eyewear. Benefiting from the unique advantages of Henggang as a global eyewear manufacturing hub, along with access to a comprehensive talent pool and an established industrial chain, the company achieved remarkable milestones by its third year. These included upgrading production capacity, design capabilities, and systematic operations, as well as obtaining ISO certification. This led to the successful establishment of an independent production line for premium horn-rimmed and wooden eyewear.
The “small, specialized, and focused” model, which integrates the characteristics of the eyewear manufacturing industry with modern technology and management practices, was pivotal to the company’s growth. It streamlined the eyewear design process, manufacturing procedures,
and quality control, enabling the development of a dedicated eyewear factory B2B export model.
In 2009, the company launched an independent production line for metal and titanium alloy eyewear. In 2011, a factory for plastic and acetate eyewear materials was established. By 2013, an injection-molding parts production line was added. In 2014, the company invested in independent packaging and printing facilities. In 2018, carbon fiber eyewear and composite assembly lines became operational. Finally, in 2019, the GOU Eyewear Industrial Park was inaugurated.
Today, GOU owns or invests in nine companies and operates 11 independent semi-finished product and eyewear component production lines. These resources enable GOU to cover the entire eyewear value chain, from design, manufacturing, and sales to after-sales service, encompassing both eyewear products and their accessories.
